CARRER CHOICE
the choice of university studies is one of the most difficult decisions, and it's even more in the lifetime in which it has to be made actually. each one of us wants to study the perfect career (spoiler: just a fantasy), the most succesful or the one that gives more privilege, but actually, deep inside, each one of us doesn't want the asalaried work involved in other career "ways" or professions , that's what our proletarian fathers tell us. the jobs that make the proposed system works don't receive the proportional payment to the labor force that is exerted, for the reason that these jobs "aren't at all productive".
in this sense, there is the context of decision in which we have to choose $money$ or study something that possibly doesn't give us much benefit, but make us happy. in my case, i tried to choose a bit of both, that's why i study geography. when i gave the admission test i didn't have a clear idea of what i wanted to study actually, but i kinda have a clear idea of what i liked (such as the social-political sphere), that's why i wanted to study sociology, but involved a low salary and low employability, so in the selection request i opted for geography, altough it has low employability, the salary could be better (blindy trusting in the PSU websites) and it was something i knew i would like, bc i studied some kind of urban geography in HS and i was delighted.
i'm satisfied with my decision so far, and i would like to continue to study.
is an unfair system that we're forced to enter to be successful, or what we're led to believe is success.
